Good News

The greatest news you'll ever hear.

There is a story being told in every human heart — a story that whispers something is missing, something is broken, something needs to be made right. The good news is that God has not left us alone in that story. He has stepped into it. What follows is the most important message you will ever read.

A person at the foot of an unscalable mountain labelled Perfection / Heaven, surrounded by tools of self-effort: good deeds, religion, hard work, being nice.

Part One

You Need Jesus

Before anything else can make sense, there is a truth you must come face to face with: you need a Savior. Not a life coach. Not a philosophy. Not a self-improvement plan. A Savior.

The Bible says it plainly: "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). Every one of us. The kind person, the religious person, the moral person, the broken person, the proud person — all of us. We have tried to be good enough on our own, and if we are honest, we know we have failed. Our best efforts at righteousness are like filthy rags compared to the perfect holiness of God. No amount of good deeds can erase a single sin. No ladder we build is tall enough to reach heaven on our own.

This is not bad news meant to crush you — it is honest news meant to free you. Until you see that you cannot save yourself, you will never run to the One who can.

Part Two

Jesus Paid a Price You Could Never Pay

Here is where the story turns. While we were still helpless, God did for us what we could never do for ourselves.

Two thousand years ago, Jesus — God in the flesh — stepped down from heaven and walked this earth. He lived the life that you and I could never live: a perfect life, without a single sin. Not one selfish thought. Not one act of pride. Not one moment of rebellion against the Father. He was the spotless Lamb of God.

And then, at the end of that perfect life, He willingly laid it down. He was beaten, mocked, and nailed to a Roman cross. He bled. He suffered. He died. But this was no tragedy — it was a rescue. The Bible says, "the wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23). Sin demands a payment, and that payment is death. Jesus stepped in and paid it for you. Every sin you have committed, every sin you ever will commit, was placed on His shoulders that day. He became the perfect sacrifice — the only sacrifice that could ever truly satisfy the penalty of sin.

He died in your place, so that you would never have to.

Part Three

He Rose From the Grave

If the story ended at the cross, we would only have a martyr. But the story did not end there. The grave could not hold Him.

After Jesus died, His body was wrapped in burial cloths and laid in a tomb. A massive stone was rolled across the entrance, and Roman soldiers stood guard. By every measure, it was over. But the Bible tells us that Jesus descended into the depths of the earth, and there He took captivity captive. He looked death in the face and defeated it. He stripped hell of its power. He robbed the grave of its victory.

And then, on the third day, the stone rolled away — not to let Jesus out, but to let the world see in. He was alive. Risen. Conquering. Glorified. The tomb was empty, and history was forever split in two.

This is not a fairy tale. This is the most significant event in all of human history. Hundreds saw Him alive. The disciples who had run away in fear became bold men who gave their lives proclaiming what they had seen with their own eyes. The resurrection is the foundation that everything else stands on — because if Jesus is alive, then everything He said is true.

Part Four

Saved by Grace, Through Faith

Because of what Jesus has done, eternal life is now possible for you. Not as a reward you earn, but as a gift you receive.

It was the grace of God — His unearned, undeserved love — that sent Jesus to the cross for you. But that grace is accessed in only one way: through faith. The Bible could not be clearer: "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Faith is more than agreeing that Jesus existed. Even the demons believe that, and they tremble. Saving faith is when you place the full weight of your trust on Jesus — when you stop trying to save yourself and surrender your life to Him as Lord. It is when you say, "Jesus, I cannot do this. Only You can. I trust You. I follow You. You are mine, and I am Yours."

That kind of faith is the door. And on the other side of that door is everything you have ever truly longed for.

Part Five

Who Will You Serve?

Here is a truth most people never stop to consider: you are already serving something. Every single person on this planet is serving someone or something — money, comfort, success, approval, pleasure, self. The question was never if you would serve. The question is always whom.

Jesus said it like this: "No one can serve two masters." You cannot give your life to Jesus and to the things of this world at the same time. Something has to be on the throne of your heart, and only one Person belongs there.

When Jesus walked this earth, the message He preached again and again was, "The kingdom of God is at hand." It is near. It is here. The King has come, and He is calling subjects to Himself — citizens of a kingdom that will never end. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords, and He is offering you a place at His table.

So look honestly at your life. Who is on the throne? What are you living for? What is shaping every decision, every dream, every fear? And then ask the question that matters most: Who will you serve?

Part Six

Pray Right Now

If you have read this far, and you feel something stirring in your heart — that quiet, unmistakable pull — do not wait. That is the Spirit of God calling you home.

Right now, where you are, you can come to Jesus. You don't need a special place. You don't need a pastor. You don't need to clean yourself up first. You just need to come.

Approach God with humility. Confess your sins to Him honestly — He already knows them, and He loves you anyway. Then pray to Jesus, and ask Him to be the Lord of your life. There are no magic words. Speak from your heart. Something like this:

"Jesus, I know I am a sinner, and I cannot save myself. I believe You are the Son of God, that You died on the cross for my sins, and that God raised You from the dead. Right now, I turn from my sin and I turn to You. I receive You as my Savior. I surrender to You as my Lord. Take my life. I am Yours. Thank You for saving me. Amen."

A prayer to pray, in your own words

The Bible promises: "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).

If you prayed that prayer with sincerity — meaning it from the depths of your heart — then welcome to the family of God. Welcome to His kingdom. Welcome home. Heaven is rejoicing over you right now (Luke 15:10), and your life will never be the same.

What's Next?

You were never meant to walk it alone.

If you just gave your life to Jesus, this is the beginning of the greatest adventure of your life — and you were never meant to walk it alone. The most important next step is being known and loved by a local church family who can pray with you, grow with you, and walk alongside you.

That's exactly what the Decision Card is for. Take a couple of minutes to fill it out, and we'll send you a short list of Bible-believing churches near you that fit who you are — along with the next steps to get connected.

I'm ready — fill out a Decision Card

If you're not ready yet, or you want to sit with what you just read — that is okay too. The invitation isn't going anywhere. When you're ready, the Decision Card will be here.

You were lost, and now you are found.
You were dead, and now you are alive.
Welcome to the Kingdom.
