About The Outpouring Network

Is The Outpouring Network a non-profit organization?

The Outpouring Network is currently registered as "The Outpouring Network, LLC" in Georgia. We are actively transitioning to 501(c)(3) non-profit status with a governing board of directors.

This transition represents our commitment to transparency, accountability, and long-term sustainability as we serve the Body of Christ. Alliance work requires institutional stability, and we are building that foundation now.

Who founded The Outpouring Network?

John Minix founded and directs The Outpouring Network. John currently serves his community as a school bus driver, a reminder that God uses ordinary people to build extraordinary things for His Kingdom.

After wrestling with the reality that cities full of churches remain largely unreached, John felt called to develop practical solutions. He has spent the past several months building this platform, not as academic theory, but as working infrastructure churches can actually use to collaborate effectively.

More detailed leadership information will be available as we transition to non-profit status and establish our governing board.

Does The Outpouring Network try to govern or control churches?

Absolutely not. The Outpouring Network has zero governance authority over any church or organization and has no plans to become a governing body. Ever.

We exist to facilitate collaboration, not control it. Alliances work precisely because they respect each church's autonomy and denominational distinctives while celebrating what unites us in Christ.

Our approach to unity
  • Unity, not uniformity: we celebrate diversity within biblical orthodoxy
  • Voluntary participation: churches join freely and leave freely
  • Collaborative partnership: we facilitate connections, not control them
  • Denominational respect: we honor each church's traditions and governance

However, we do maintain standards for platform content. According to our Terms of Service, any organization listing that contradicts historic, biblical Christian doctrine may be reviewed and potentially removed or required to modify portions of their listing. Additionally, offensive, derogatory, or divisive material is subject to moderation.

This is about networking, not control. We provide digital infrastructure. Churches provide the movement.
